FastForward

Orientation program required of all new Undergraduates

All new undergraduate students at National-Louis University must attend a FastForward orientation session. FastForward is designed to help students learn more about their academic requirements, the expectations NLU has of our students and resources for assistance in becoming a successful student. FastForward sessions are presented by academic advisors. Please note that you will not register for your first term of courses at FastForward. You should make a separate appointment to meet with an advisor for course registration.

Sessions are scheduled conveniently on each NLU campus prior to each term. Students that meet at off-site locations will typically have an advisor meet with their group for FastForward at their location. Students in accelerated programs may complete FastForward in an online format.

FastForward consists of two components, an overview of NLU information session and a writing assessment. Students may prepare for the writing assessment by taking a brief tutorial on the Center for Academic Development website.

You can reserve for your spot in an upcoming FastForward session today by contacting the advising center at 1-800-443, 5522, ext. 5900.
